Rainbows is a pre-Brownie organisation, open to girls of five and over.  The meetings are full of games and activities which provide challenging opportunities for Rainbows to think for themselves and take an active part in unit decision making.

Everything a Rainbow does helps her to develop – it is an opportunity to look, learn, laugh and love.

Sherwood Greenlaw Rainbows meet on a Thursday evening in the church hall.

Further information can be obtained from Mrs Marjory Crae, via the Church office.

The Rainbow Promise

Rainbows make this simple promise that they share with members around the world:

I promise that I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.

It is hard to believe that by the time you read this there will only be a few weeks of the session 2016/17 left to go.

The last few months have been busy for the girls. We have had a few games nights, made gifts for our mothers and celebrated Easter with the Brownies when we worked together to design Easter bonnets. We have also taken part in the uniformed organisations' service.

This year marks 30 years of Rainbows in the UK. To commemorate this, Girlguiding Scotland has produced a special challenge entitled Mermaid Mayhem. This will form the basis of our programme for the last few weeks and will involve the girls completing various activities relating to the seaside. The final part of this will be a beach party which will take place at our final meeting of the session on 18th May 2017 at 6.30pm. Please feel free to come along and help us celebrate.

With several of the girls moving on to Brownies we will be able to take in all the eligible girls on our current waiting list. Anyone interested in registering their daughter should log on to where they will be directed to the Join us section of the Guiding website and can register their interest in our unit (3rd East Paisley). Please note that to be eligible for a place the child must be 5 years old. Anyone under 5 will be added to a waiting list.

The leadership team and the girls would like to thank you for your continued support of the unit.

On a personal note I would like to thank the other leaders and helpers who give of their time freely to make sure the girls have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience at Rainbows.
