One of the joys of being a part of the Path of Renewal project is that there is no deadline to meet, and no exact programme to follow.  In its place we are invited to experiment and try things out, and discover that God is already present in the heart of our community, but he is looking for helpers and workmates to serve alongside him.

The first little experiment in the Path of Renewal Project is breakfast Club at Williamsburgh Primary School.  Now we don’t need you to cook breakfast or make breakfast at the school.  We are looking for some volunteers to work alongside some of the staff, and to get to know the children, and perhaps to be there to feed those children who arrive late once the staff have gone off to teach.   We are also looking for people to do some reading with the children, and to befriend them, and generally have some fun with them.

So if you are the kind of person who is up and about early in the morning, has a reasonable sense of humour, enjoys being surrounded by young people, then this little experiment could be just for you.  You need to be at Williamsburgh Primary for Eight O’clock in the morning until about 9.30am.  You can volunteer to be part of the project for as much time as you would be willing to give, so if you can only do one day that is fine, if you can do a few more days that is even better.  Full training will be given on the job, and you will have a fantastic time with the young folks and staff there, and you may bump into God while you are going about your business.  Speak to the Minister, Marion Ford or Catherine Scally to enthuse you some more.
