SHERWOOD GREENLAW CHURCH

Sherwood Greenlaw Guild

The Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.

The Guild’s aim has been underlined in our motto which is taken from Acts 27, verse 23:

"Whose we are and Whom we serve."

The Guild is about invitation, encouragement, commitment, and fellowship which leads to providing opportunities for continuing growth in Christian faith through worship, prayer and action.

Worship is an essential ingredient in all meetings and activities. Prayer underpins everything - and is a means of involving those members who cannot be active in other ways.

Our Guild meets on Mondays – fortnightly  at  1.30pm.

Our meeting on 6th February was the charity “Smalls for All”

sending underwear to Africa.  It began as a small thing but has

developed into a much larger charity and it was very interesting

to hear all about it.   We collected a bin bag of underwear plus donations of money.

On 20th February we had the “Hilites” to entertain us.

The presentation to Erskine Hospital will be made at our meeting on 6th March,

On 27th March we have our AGM with entertainment “Glickman Sweets”.

Presbyterial Council AGM is held in Stow Brae Church at 7.30  pm on Wednesday 29th March.

Our Spring Coffee Morning is on Saturday 18th March from

10 am – 12 noon.  There will be a box in the kitchen for donations and baking can be handed in on the Saturday morning and these would be much appreciated.  Tickets will be on sale at Sunday Break.  The hall will also be open on Friday 17th from 2.30 – 3.30 pm.
